Eye Exams

Comprehensive Eye Exam

A comprehensive eye exam is used to check vision and eye health. We check to see how your eyes are doing and if there have been any changes since your last visit. Specifically we check to see if you need glasses/need to update your current pair, if your eyes are working together and are aligned, and if there are any health concerns that need to be addressed. It is recommended to get regular eye exams even if you don’t have any eye concerns or don’t wear glasses.

Contact Lenses

Contact Lenses and Care

Contact lens wearers should have their contacts assessed yearly to ensure their contact lenses are still fitting correctly, are providing the best possible vision, and are healthy for the eyes. We carry all major brands of contact lenses in our clinic.

We also offer contact lens fittings for patients who have never worn contacts before. When we fit you with contacts we will teach you everything you need to know about being a successful contact lens wearer, including how to put in, take out, and care for your contact lenses. By listening to your needs we will choose a contact lens that not only fits your eye properly, but also suits your lifestyle and vision needs. We can even fit those who need reading glasses with multifocal/progressive contact lenses to allow for clear vision at all distances without the use of glasses.

Binocular Vision Evaluations and Training

Approximately 20% of the population suffers from a lack of eye coordination. This can lead to eye fatigue, eye strain, headaches, and reduced productivity. Binocular vision evaluations are specialized appointments for those who show reduced eye coordination during their comprehensive eye exam. Options to treat eye coordination issues can then be discussed, including vision training.

Minor Emergency Appointments

We are equipped to handle minor eye emergencies, such as red eyes and eye injuries. These appointments can often be billed through your valid Saskatchewan Health Card.

Refractive Surgery Consults

Have you ever wondered if you are able to get surgery, such as LASIK, to correct your vision? The first step to determine if you are a candidate is to book a comprehensive eye exam at our clinic. We will take additional measurements and discuss your vision needs to determine if you should be referred to a surgical center. There is no additional charge to determine if you meet the criteria for refractive surgery and if you proceed with surgery we will follow you closely for the first year after your procedure to monitor your healing.
